The Japantown Farmer’s Market is 100% volunteer-run and relies on community support!
The Japantown Farmer’s Market is fully managed and operated by the Japantown Business Association board members and community volunteers. It requires over 1,500 volunteer hours per half-year season.

We support our farmers
Our agricultural vendors, primarily family members from small minority-owned farms, drive from as far away as Orosi and Porterville to provide our community with fresh fruits and vegetables.
We fully subsidize the cost of our farmers’ booth vending fees with sponsorships and donations.

Organic, vegan, and more...
Some of the various highlights of our 2025 season included:
• Regular attendance by specialty vegan bakers;
• Seafood, egg, and ostrich meat vendors;
• Honey and floral producers;
• Ethnic prepared foods (Japanese, Hispanic, Pakistani, Vietnamese) -
The place to enjoy Sundays
Besides shopping, families spend hours enjoying prepared food from hot vendors like Hash N Dash, while young children play ladder ball, corn hole, and giant Connect Four. We also have a regular DJ that provides music and entertainment.
